Ballerina In The Country

What do you get when you add a beautiful Ballerina and put her in the country?  You get these amazing photos! I've been wanting to photograph a Ballerina for years. So on a whim I posted a notice at work to see if anybody knew a Ballerina that would be interested in doing a photo session and I was thrilled when I finally got a Ballerina who would come out into the country and capture some great images!

Greekfest 2012

Opa!  I love the month of August because it means it's time for Greekfest!!  Greekfest equals amazing food, awesome music and the most wonderful group of volunteers you'll ever meet.

One of the nights I did photos included Multicultural Night.  It included local Ottawa dance toupes from other countries including Mexico, Columbia, Romania and ofcourse Greece.

One of my favorites places was the Honeyball Stand.  Honeyballs are a deep fried pastry coated in honey.  It was great to watch them getting made but even better to eat. Yum!

Here are a few photos from my two day Greekfest experience.

For The Love Of Dance

I had the great opportunity on February 4th of being the official photographer for a great fund raising event, For The Love Of Dance.  Local dancers volunteered their dancing skills to help raise over $1700 for the Riverside Park Nursery School. The dancers put on an amazing show and a special thank you to both Anna and Safiya who organized this special event and allowing me to be part of it.

Let's Dance!!

On a beautiful, slightly cool October day, I had a the opportunity to photograph some wonderful dancers from a local dance school in Ottawa, Dance With Alana.  http://www.dancewithalana.com/  With the help of two of my photography friends, Lou and Hagen, we had a blast working with Caroline, Rafeek, Joseé and Ben Jammin. Enjoy!

Sneak Peak - Dancing in Ottawa

Here is a sneak peak of some amazing dancers we had the opportunity to photograph today.  We started and 1:00PM and stopped at 5:30PM and really only stopped because the sun was starting to go down.  Thanks so much to the wonderful dancers and to my photo partners, Lou and Hagen...thanks for helping make this such a great day.

Greekfest 2011

Welcome to Greekfest Ottawa 2011.
Looking for a great event in the City of Ottawa.  Take a drive out to 1315 Prince of Wales Drive and spend some time enjoying the food, the music and the people.  Check out the entire listing of events at http://www.ottawagreekfest.com/ OPA!!!!

Three Sisters have the most wonderful cookbook available for sale "Around The Greek Table".  They have been doing demonstrations at the Ottawa Greek Festival and last night they made the most amazing meatballs.  Check out details of their story and their amazing cookbook at:   http://3greeksisters.com/

No night at Greekfest would be complete without music and dancing.  The Zorba Dance at the end of the night took my breath away.  You have to see this show.
